Are you ready to do some swapping?  Well, you have come to the right place!

Here are some ideas of what we need for our first swap:

Let’s look ahead a couple of months and think spring colors, pastels and brights that will warm the home.  I am thinking cherry blossoms, florals, bright green grass popping up out of the snow, daffodils, crocus, early blooming flowers like tulips and bright clear blue skies after a good rain.

The reason for the specific colors is that these charms and noodles will be used in a new Mystery Quilt coming in March called “SPRING”.   This is a good chance to clean our stash out a bit and shake off the duldrums of winter and to share with others lovely spring colors.

In order to participate, just sign up below with your name, put your name in the database and read the guidelines. When we have 5-7 swappers or more, then the swap will be closed and the send out date will be posted.  Hurry!  I think this will fill up soon!

Thank you for playing along!

In order to sign up, go to Files, click on Documents, open document and click edit and then save after you are finished.

Please put your name,  address, country, email and how many sets you intend to send.  Limit is 2 sets.

The sets will consist of 5 inch squares (charms) and 2.5 inch strips (noodles).

These are the colors to swap:

Think pastels in spring colors.

Bright green, like new grass

Bright blue sky

Yellow, sunny

Lavender or light purple or a darker purple for contrast.

Cherry colors, like popcorn buds on cherry trees

Florals, medium bright colors

Pinks, medium shade

About cozyquilts

Hello and welcome to my website. My name is Donna. My hubby is retired and I am still working from home. I have twin daughters and am blessed with 4 grandchildren. We are owned by 4 cats that love to supervise and are very nosy. I have been quilting since 1996. In addition to making quilts for my family and friends, I also make charity quilts for Marjoree Mason Center and Valley Children's Hospital. Marjoree Mason Center is a local organization here that helps and supports battered and abused women and children get out of abusive relationships. Every Christmas I make several baby quilts for the women, along with a small stuffed animal. Valley Children's Hospital is a new venture for me that just started this year. Every month or so I drop off a couple of quilts along with a small toy, for the children. I use a lot of bright, fun fabrics to help cheer them up. I do special order quilts but please be advised in advance as I work full-time in addition to quilting, I only do a few during the year. Also, it may take up to 6 months to a year to completely finish a quilt as my sewing time is limited. I only do applique or patchwork and will incorporate machine embroidery into my patterns, when requested. Thank you for visiting and I hope to see you and friends again soon.
