It boggles the mind to think that another year has gone by so quickly and another waits with so much promise, hope and dreams. What do you hope to do next year? Any plans, dreams, ideas that you would like to share? I always have a lot of plans, ideas and hopes as I am just that way. I have big plans but do not always follow through on them for one reason or another.

Sew, what plans do we have for our group this coming year. I know that I asked this earlier in November or December but not much happened, except a little chatting here and there and it fizzled out.

I know that we have a lot of people overseas and it can be a burden for both parties (some of us) to do swapping with the cost of postage and all. My thought is that if we do a Round Robin that we have 2 groups, one for the overseas and one here in the US and Canada. Would that make it easier for everyone? That way the cost of postage would be easier on everyone concerned, I am hoping.

For swaps other than RR, is anyone interested in doing regular swaps such as FQ exchanges, block swaps, or Secret Pal swaps? Please post below and let me know what you think. I would like to start at the beginning of next year if possible and if we have enough people interested.

I will be thinking of some swap ideas and posting some later. If you have any ideas please post them. Remember, this is your group and we make things happen by working together.

About cozyquilts

Hello and welcome to my website. My name is Donna. My hubby is retired and I am still working from home. I have twin daughters and am blessed with 4 grandchildren. We are owned by 4 cats that love to supervise and are very nosy. I have been quilting since 1996. In addition to making quilts for my family and friends, I also make charity quilts for Marjoree Mason Center and Valley Children's Hospital. Marjoree Mason Center is a local organization here that helps and supports battered and abused women and children get out of abusive relationships. Every Christmas I make several baby quilts for the women, along with a small stuffed animal. Valley Children's Hospital is a new venture for me that just started this year. Every month or so I drop off a couple of quilts along with a small toy, for the children. I use a lot of bright, fun fabrics to help cheer them up. I do special order quilts but please be advised in advance as I work full-time in addition to quilting, I only do a few during the year. Also, it may take up to 6 months to a year to completely finish a quilt as my sewing time is limited. I only do applique or patchwork and will incorporate machine embroidery into my patterns, when requested. Thank you for visiting and I hope to see you and friends again soon.
