Hello Everyone and welcome back!
Since March is the beginning of a new month, I find it fitting to start a new Challenge Quilt. The quilt is called Oh, My Stars! and will consist of 48 blocks. I will be posting a block a week until we finish the top. I have chosen the blocks from Block Base by EQ and from quilterscache.com, and of course, they are all stars in one form or another and should measure 6.5 inches squared.
Here is an idea of how the 48 blocks will be used:
Ten blocks will be used only once.
Eight blocks will be used twice.
Four blocks will be used three times.
And two blocks will be used four times. That equals 48 blocks.
The quilt top will measure 122 x 92.
FABRIC REQUIREMENTS: Will be given with each block that we make as we go along. You will need a variety of light, medium and dark colors in any color wave that you please. Mine will be scrappy in a mix of red, brown, green, gold, yellow, blue, etc, mostly earth colors.
CLUE #1: The first block can be made from three 10 inch squares of a light, a medium, and a dark color.
Come back on Saturday, March 2 and I will have the first block ready and posted with directions. Most of these can be found either at quilterscache.com or in Block Base. If there is a different name for it and you have trouble finding it, I will provide another name that you might find it under.
Thank you for playing along!
