Allow me to Introduce CozyQuilts

Hello and welcome to Quietly Quilting Ministries, the home blog of Stash_Quilters at (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Stash_Quilters/). Our group offers mystery quilts, challenges, retreats and swaps. Please feel free to drop by and visit. Our patterns are original and are free for download, no membership required. Please use them for your own use but not for sale.

My name is Donna and I live in Fresno, California with my husband and 4 cats. We have identical twin girls, Kathy and Jenny, who have given us 4 beautiful grandchildren, 2 boys and 2 girls.

I have been quilting since 1996 and am still learning new techniques. My favorite part of quilting is actually choosing the pattern, fabric and cutting. Not sure what I have the most of patterns, gadgets or fabric, probably a close tie between the fabric and patterns. My favorite methods are appliqué, piecing, and postage stamp quilts and love all colors, especially earth tones.

I belong to the San Joaquin Valley Quilters Guild and most of my creations go to either the guild as charity quilts or to my favorite charities and to family. Our family has a history of choosing a charity for Christmas and I then make quilts to go to the Marjoree Mason Center, Valley Children’s Hospital and to the Veteran’s Hospital.

I do make quilts for clients but as I am still working, please be advised that it may take from 6 months to a year to complete depending on the size of the quilt.

Thank you for dropping by.

About cozyquilts

Hello and welcome to my website. My name is Donna. My hubby is retired and I am still working from home. I have twin daughters and am blessed with 4 grandchildren. We are owned by 4 cats that love to supervise and are very nosy. I have been quilting since 1996. In addition to making quilts for my family and friends, I also make charity quilts for Marjoree Mason Center and Valley Children's Hospital. Marjoree Mason Center is a local organization here that helps and supports battered and abused women and children get out of abusive relationships. Every Christmas I make several baby quilts for the women, along with a small stuffed animal. Valley Children's Hospital is a new venture for me that just started this year. Every month or so I drop off a couple of quilts along with a small toy, for the children. I use a lot of bright, fun fabrics to help cheer them up. I do special order quilts but please be advised in advance as I work full-time in addition to quilting, I only do a few during the year. Also, it may take up to 6 months to a year to completely finish a quilt as my sewing time is limited. I only do applique or patchwork and will incorporate machine embroidery into my patterns, when requested. Thank you for visiting and I hope to see you and friends again soon.
