New Beginnings

Hello Everyone

Just a note to let you know what is going on in our group at the moment.  Not very much at this time but I believe it will change for the better soon.  I mentioned earlier that we are a quiet group and that I sent out a notice to some of our members that we had not heard from in a while.  I did get some responses privately and we reconnected and had some good chats.  I realize that I go through this once a year about our group but I do this for the health of our group not to nag or badger anyone into doing anything.  I also realized that during that time, I also became a lurker and actually was not able to log into any of my groups for a while because of a hacker in my computer.  It took about 3 weeks to get this straightened out and running properly again.  I pray that this doesn’t happen to anyone else as it really is a royal pain when it does happen.  My apologies for any random junk or spam “mail” that came your way via my email.

Since this is the beginning of the end of February, I propose that we call it a wash and start all over again in March as our New Year!  After all, March is the month of my birth so what better time to start anew than in your own birth month!   All in favor, say AYE!

Since that will be a new beginning for us, what shall we do first? Remember, this is your group too, so I want to hear your ideas, thoughts, plans, projects, etc.  Based on your responses, we can go forward from there.

I hope everyone is having a good, productive day of sewing and quilting.

Take care,

About cozyquilts

Hello and welcome to my website. My name is Donna. My hubby is retired and I am still working from home. I have twin daughters and am blessed with 4 grandchildren. We are owned by 4 cats that love to supervise and are very nosy. I have been quilting since 1996. In addition to making quilts for my family and friends, I also make charity quilts for Marjoree Mason Center and Valley Children's Hospital. Marjoree Mason Center is a local organization here that helps and supports battered and abused women and children get out of abusive relationships. Every Christmas I make several baby quilts for the women, along with a small stuffed animal. Valley Children's Hospital is a new venture for me that just started this year. Every month or so I drop off a couple of quilts along with a small toy, for the children. I use a lot of bright, fun fabrics to help cheer them up. I do special order quilts but please be advised in advance as I work full-time in addition to quilting, I only do a few during the year. Also, it may take up to 6 months to a year to completely finish a quilt as my sewing time is limited. I only do applique or patchwork and will incorporate machine embroidery into my patterns, when requested. Thank you for visiting and I hope to see you and friends again soon.
