Heart of Mine Mystery Quilt Part 8

Hello Everyone

Now that you have your inner and outer borders started, go ahead and do the applique for the outer borders.  I will leave it to you as to placement.  Once that is taken care of, put on your outer border and you have the top finished!   I will be posting pictures here fairly soon of what I have done but it may be a bit before I get to the applique.

My apologies for giving such brief instructions on the end of the mystery, but life has not gone the way I wanted it to this past week.  In addition to a dear friend of mine who is moving away, working full-time plus over-time, I seem to have developed a cold on top of it!  Needless to say, this has cut into my personal time and I have gotten way behind on my own mystery!  But never fear, I have faith in all of you and in myself that I will get this done before the end of next week.  Please do not stop on account of me, as I really do want to see pictures of what everyone has created!

Thank you everyone for playing along in this mystery, and for allowing me the privilege of not only making new friends and chatting with old ones, but also for your support and patience with me!

I am dedicating this quilt to a dear friend of mine, Terye D.  She is a quilting buddy from way back, and we are a lot alike and I will miss her when she moves, but she will always have a piece of my heart.

Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone!

Not quite the end as there will be more soon!

About cozyquilts

Hello and welcome to my website. My name is Donna. My hubby is retired and I am still working from home. I have twin daughters and am blessed with 4 grandchildren. We are owned by 4 cats that love to supervise and are very nosy. I have been quilting since 1996. In addition to making quilts for my family and friends, I also make charity quilts for Marjoree Mason Center and Valley Children's Hospital. Marjoree Mason Center is a local organization here that helps and supports battered and abused women and children get out of abusive relationships. Every Christmas I make several baby quilts for the women, along with a small stuffed animal. Valley Children's Hospital is a new venture for me that just started this year. Every month or so I drop off a couple of quilts along with a small toy, for the children. I use a lot of bright, fun fabrics to help cheer them up. I do special order quilts but please be advised in advance as I work full-time in addition to quilting, I only do a few during the year. Also, it may take up to 6 months to a year to completely finish a quilt as my sewing time is limited. I only do applique or patchwork and will incorporate machine embroidery into my patterns, when requested. Thank you for visiting and I hope to see you and friends again soon.
